directAnswer: "Bridge Specialty Insurance Brokerage is the national brokerage brand Bridge built in 2023 by merging several open-brokerage operations, and it became the wholesale division of Arrowhead Intermediaries in 2025. It fits when a relevant practice group, real complex-placement capability, or an existing relationship inside that combined brokerage is actually there for your account. Nomos fits when you'd rather work with a smaller organization that starts with the file you already have. Compare the actual Bridge office and specialist against the actual Nomos team on offer — the parent-company org chart doesn't pick a wholesaler for you."
nomosFit:
  - "You want the submission assessed inside a focused wholesale organization."
  - "You want to start with the file you've already put together and find out what's missing."
  - "The account doesn't need a specific Bridge practice group or national resource you can point to."
  - "Nomos can find a credible placement route inside its current scope."
alternativeFit:
  - "A Bridge practice group actually matches the exposure, with a real specialist involved."
  - "The account is complex or layered, and the Bridge office can describe exactly what it brings."
  - "You already have a working relationship with a broker from Bridge's current or legacy operations."
  - "The file belongs in open brokerage, not an Arrowhead program or another delegated-authority operation."
dimensions:
  - label: "What the name represents"
nomos: "One focused wholesale brokerage for retail agents."
alternative: "The brand Bridge built in 2023 by combining several open-brokerage operations — ECC, MacDuff, Peachtree and RLA — while Apex kept its own market-facing name."
  - label: "Current parent structure"
nomos: "Its public pages describe its own brokerage and intake process directly, nothing more."
alternative: "Since 2025, Bridge Specialty Group has been the wholesale division of Arrowhead Intermediaries. Arrowhead Programs and Arrowhead Specialty stay separate divisions."
  - label: "Published breadth"
nomos: "Publishes coverage and industry areas, but the team still has to assess each submission against what's live right now."
alternative: "Publishes coverage areas and 11 practice groups. That roster only means something once it connects your account to a real person and a real solution."
  - label: "Complex and layered work"
nomos: "Fit depends on the structure and experience Nomos can actually bring to this specific account."
alternative: "Bridge positions its practice groups directly for complex and layered risk — a genuine reason to look here if the proposed team can show how they'd handle the placement."
  - label: "Starting the submission"
nomos: "Send the file you have — the brokerage figures out likely fit and what else is needed."
alternative: "Intake varies by Bridge office and practice. Get the proposed broker to state what's required and who actually prepares the underwriting presentation."
  - label: "Market relationships"
nomos: "What matters is the actual insurer route Nomos identifies for your account — not a general breadth claim."
alternative: "Bridge reports a network of more than 300 carriers. That number alone doesn't prove a specific office can approach the insurer you need."
  - label: "Open brokerage versus authority"
nomos: "A broker-led workflow — the proposed insurer or another authorized entity makes the underwriting call."
alternative: "Bridge Specialty Insurance Brokerage is the open-brokerage operation. Program or binding authority elsewhere in Arrowhead's structure is a different route entirely."
  - label: "Continuity after consolidation"
nomos: "Ask which Nomos contact stays involved as the account moves from review to placement and renewal."
alternative: "If a relationship predates the 2023 merger, ask whether the same producer and service team are still involved, and how practice-group participation changes that."
questions:
  - "Which Bridge office, producer and legal entity would actually receive this account?"
  - "Did this relationship start with one of the operations combined in 2023, and has the team changed since?"
  - "Which Bridge practice group would get involved, and what would its specialist actually contribute?"
  - "Is this account going into open brokerage, an Arrowhead program, or another delegated-authority operation?"
  - "What does each wholesaler need before releasing the file, and who prepares the carrier presentation?"
  - "Which insurers are proposed, when can they be approached, and who stays responsible through servicing and renewal?"

faq:
  - question: "Is Bridge Specialty Insurance Brokerage the same as Bridge Specialty Group?"
answer: "No. Bridge Specialty Insurance Brokerage is the consolidated open-brokerage brand this page is about. Bridge Specialty Group is the wider wholesale division inside Arrowhead Intermediaries, and it covers other brands and capabilities too."
  - question: "Is Bridge Specialty Group now part of Arrowhead Intermediaries?"
answer: "Yes — a 2025 organizational announcement puts Arrowhead Intermediaries as the parent brand and Bridge Specialty Group as a distinct wholesale division. That doesn't fold Arrowhead Programs or Arrowhead Specialty capabilities into every Bridge brokerage transaction, though."
  - question: "When might Bridge Specialty Insurance Brokerage fit better than Nomos?"
answer: "When a relevant practice group will actually work a complex or layered account, or when you already have a working relationship with a broker inside the combined organization. Nomos fits when you'd rather work with a smaller structure and start with the file you've already got."

## Bridge is a consolidation story

[Bridge Specialty Insurance Brokerage describes itself](https://bridgespecialtygroup.com/brokerage/) as a wholesale and specialty brokerage for independent and retail insurance agents. The name is fairly new, but the operations behind it aren't. Bridge [built the brand in 2023](https://bridgespecialtygroup.com/news/bridge-specialty-group-launches-bridge-specialty-insurance-brokerage/) by combining ECC Insurance Brokers, MacDuff Underwriters, Peachtree Special Risk Brokers and RLA Insurance Intermediaries, with Apex joining too while keeping its own market-facing brand.

The structure shifted again in 2025. [Arrowhead Intermediaries became the parent brand](https://bridgespecialtygroup.com/news/one80-intermediaries-officially-joins-arrowhead-programs-and-bridge-specialty-group/) for Bridge Specialty Group, Arrowhead Programs and One80 Intermediaries, keeping Bridge Specialty Group as the wholesale division separate from the programs and specialty sides while integration continued. So if you're evaluating Bridge, identify the current office and producer — don't assume every Arrowhead capability follows your submission.

## Breadth matters once it's an assigned resource

Bridge publishes 11 practice groups and pitches those teams for complex and layered risk. That's meaningful once a property, casualty, environmental, healthcare, public-entity or other listed specialist is actually on your placement — and it's a particularly strong case if you already work productively with a producer from the combined brokerage.

The practice-group list and Bridge's reported network of 300-plus carriers are platform facts, not an answer for your account. They don't tell you which insurer will look at a specific risk, whether capacity is actually available, or which service team stays involved. The value shows up when the proposed producer turns that scale into a concrete team and a concrete plan.

## Nomos is the simpler organizational choice

Nomos [tells you](https://nomos-insurance.com/) to send the submission file you've already put together so a focused brokerage can assess fit and flag what's missing. That suits you if you don't need a national practice-group structure and would rather start with a smaller organization whose process is straightforward.

Smaller isn't automatically better, though. Nomos still has to find a viable route for the account, while Bridge might bring a specialist or an existing relationship Nomos can't. Neither public site proves comparative response time, insurer access or quote terms — that comes from the actual work each one does on your file.

## The 2025 parent structure doesn't merge authority

Arrowhead Intermediaries treats Bridge Specialty Group, Arrowhead Programs and Arrowhead Specialty as distinct divisions. A program or delegated-authority capability sitting in one division isn't authority held by Bridge Specialty Insurance Brokerage. Ask the proposed Bridge producer whether the account stays in open brokerage or moves into a separately authorized facility.

Nomos needs the same check. A wholesale broker can prepare and submit an account without holding an insurer's pen. Either way, get the proposed insurer route, the entity making the underwriting decision, and the service contacts who stick around after placement.
